Born In Paris, June 7th 1979, half French and Brazilian Julia Rochette, B.Sc in Biology and a Master in Humanitarian Law, grew up photographying from argentic to digital. She has lived for 20 years in Marseille. Since her childhood, influenced by Henry David Thoreau, naturalist, transcendentalist, she began to write a book of poetry in 1998 during 14 years, painting abstraction and photographing along her trips in Brasil, USA and Europe, specializing her technics and experience with Magnum Photography, LSP, London and the Percolateur, Marseille. She describes her environment with a constant limit of defining humanist photography and photojournalism.
